Genghis Khan
Чингисхан
(1155 - 1162)

Genghis Khan, born as Temujin, was the founder and 
first Great Khan and Emperor of the Mongol Empire,
 which became the largest empire in history after 
his death.

He came to power by uniti
ng many of the nomadic 
tribes in Northeast Asia. He launched the Mongol 
invasions that conquered most of Eurasia, Middle 
East, Central  Asia and China. Genghis Khan is often 
considered to be the greatest conqueror of all time. 
.
Present-day Mongolians regards him as the founding 
father of Mongolia. Genghis Khan died in August 
1227, during the fall of Yichuan. The exact cause 
of his death remains a mystery.

Kublai Khan
ᠬᠤᠪᠢᠯᠠᠢ ᠬᠠᠭᠠᠨ - Хубилай - 忽必烈
(1215 - 1294)

Kublai Khan was the fifth emperor of the Mongol 
Empire, reigning from 1260 to 1294.  He was a 
grandson of Genghis Khan.  He also founded 
the Yuan dynasty in China in 1271, and ruled as 
the first Yuan emperor until his death in 1294.

Kublai the last of the great Mongol rulers, died of 
illness caused by his repeated over indulgence 
in food and alcohol, in 1294 at the age of 79.

Egypt



Tutankhamon
(1341 BC - 1337 BC)

Also known as Tutankamon, was an Egyptian Pharaoh 
of the 18th dynasty, ruled from 1332 -1323 BC.
Tutankhamon was nine years old when he became
Pharaoh, and he reigned for about 10 years.
.
Tutankhamon's fame is primarily the result of his 
well-preserved tomb and the global exhibitions of
his associated artifacts.  He has since the discovery 
of his intact tomb, been referred to
 colloquially as King Tut.

Mongolia



Ögödei Khan
Өгэдэй хаан
(1186 - 1241)

 Ögödei was the third son of Genghis Khan and
second Great Khan of the Mongol Empire, succeeding
 his father. He was the first ruler of the Mongols to 
called himself khagan (great khan).
.
Ögödei's accomplishments included building a new
capital Karakorum, and defeating the Jin state of 
northern China.  Expanding his empire across
Central Asia and Eurasia.
.
Ögödei died during a drinking bout, and his troop 
called off their intended invasion of western Europe.

Mao Zedong
毛泽东
(1893 - 1976)

Mao Zedong also known as Chairman Mao, was a 
Chinese communist revolutionary who became the 
founding father of the People's Republic China, which
he ruled as the chairman of China from 1949 
until his death in 1976.
.
Mao is regarded as one of the most important and
 influential individuals in modern world history.
In 1972, Mao welcomed U.S. President Richard Nixon
in Beijing, signaling the start of a policy of opening
China to the world.







Great Britain



Queen Elizabeth II
(1926 - 2022)

Elizabeth was Queen of the United Kingdom and head 
of the British Commonwealth countries. She became 
queen on February 6, 1952.
.
Throughout her reign, the Queen has made hundreds 
of state visits to other countries and tours of the  
Commonwealth; she is the most widely travelled 
head of states.
.
Her reign of 70 years and 214 days is the 
longest-
reigning monarch in British history as well as the 
world's longest-serving female head of state. 

She died at aged 96 at Balmoral Castle, and was 
succeeded by her eldest son, Charles III.

Queen Victoria
(1819 - 1901)

Victoria was Queen of the United Kingdom of 
Great Britain and Ireland from 1837 until her 
death. On 1 May 1876 she adopted the 
additional title of "Empress of India".
.
Victoria was the daughter of Prince 
Edward. She inherited the throne at the 
ageof 18 and ruled for 63 years.

Argentina

Eva Perón
"Evita"
(1919 - 1952)

Eva was the wife of Argentina Presiden 
Juan Perón and First Lady of Argentina 
from 1946 until her death in 1952.  She 
was usually referred yo as "Evita".
.
In 1952, shortly before her death from
 cancer at 33, Eva Perón was given the of 
"Spiritual Leader of the Nation" by the
Argentine Congress.  She was given a state 
funeral upon her death, a prerogative 
generallyreserved for heads of state.
.
Eva Perón has become a part of international
  popular culture, most famously as the subject 
of the musical "EVITA" (1976).

Maria II
(1819 - 1853)

Maria II also known as a "Boa Mãe" (the Good
 Mother), reigned as Queen of Portugal from 
1826 to 1828, and again from 1884 to 1853.  
.
From her first pregnancy, at the age of eighteen, 
Maria II faced problems in giving birth, with 
prolonged and extremely difficult labour.  
On 15 November 1853, thirteen hours after the 
onset of labour of the stillborn infant Euginio, her
eleventh child, Maria II died at the aged of 34. 
.
 Queen Maria II is remembered as a good mother 
and a kind of person who always acted according 
to her convictions in her attempt to help her 
country.  She was later given the nickname 
"The Good Mother".

Charles V
(1500 - 1558)

Charles V was a Holy Roman Emperor and Archduke 
ofAustria from 1519.  He made 40 journeys, travelling 
from country to country with no single fixed capital 
city,and is estimated that he spent a quarter of 
his reign on the road.
.
In 1526, Charles married Isabella, the daughter 
of the late king Manuel I of Portugal.
.
In 1557, Charles retired to the Monastery of Yuste 
in Extremadura and there died a year later.





Germany Reich



Adolf Hitler
(1889 - 1945)

Adolf Hitler was a German politician and leader of 
the Nazi Party.  He rose to power as chancellor of 
Germany in 1933 and then as Führer in 1934.   
.
During his dictatorship from 1933 to 1945, he 
initiated World War II in Europe by invading 
Poland on 1 September 1939. 
.
At midnight on April 28-29 he married Eva Braun. 
On April 30 he said farewell to Goebbels and his 
staff, then retired to his suit and shot himself in the 
head. His wife Braun, bit into a cynide capsule. In 
accordance with his instructions, their bodies 
were burned.

Nefertiti
(1370 BC - 1330 BC)

Nefertiti was an Egyptian queen and the Great Royal 
Wife of Akhenaten, an Egyptian Pharaoh. Nefertiti and
 her husband were known for a religious revolution, 
in which they worshiped one god only, Aten, 
or the Sun disc.
.
 With her husband, she reigned at what was arguably
 the wealthiest period of Ancient Egptian history.  
Nefertitiruled as female Pharaoh (1351 - 1334 BC)
 after her husband's death and before the accession 
of Tutankhamon.
.
She was made famous by her bust, now in 
Berlin's Neues Museum.  The bust is one of the 
most copies works of ancient Egypt.

Alexander the Great
Ἀλέξανδρος ὁ Μέγας
(356 BC - 323 BC)

Alexander the Great served as king of Macedonia from
336 BC to 323 BC.  During his time of leadership, he
 united Greece and conquered the Persian Empire.
By the age of thirty, he had created one of the largest
 empires of the ancient world, stretching from Greece
 to northwestern India.
.
Alexander was undefeated in battle and is widely 
considered one of history's most successful
military commanders.
.
Alexander died of high fever in Babylon, on 
June 13, 323 BC at the aged of 32.






Egypt

Hosni Mubarak
حسني مبارك
(1928 - 2020)

Hosni Mubarak is a former Egyptian military 
and political leader who served as the 
4th President of Egypt from 1981 to 2011.  
He assumed presidency after the 
assassination of president Anwar Sadat. 
  .
Mubarak presidency lasted almost thirty years, 
making him Egypt's longest-serving ruler 
since Muhammad Ali Pasha. Mubarak
stepped down after the Egyptian 
Revolution in 2011.
.
In 2012, an Egyptian court sentenced Mubarak 
to life imprisonment for the killing of peaceful 
protesters during the revolution. He was 
acquitted and released on March 2017.

Dr. Sun Yat Sen
孫文 / 孫中山 
(1866 - 1925)

Dr. Sun was a physician and philosopher who
provisionally served as the first president of the 
Republic of China, and the first leader of the 
Kuomintang 國民黨 (National Party of China).
.
He is referred as the "Father of the Nation"
 in the Republic of China.

Maria Theresa
(1717 - 1780)

Empress Maria Theresa was the only female ruler of 
the House of Habsburg.  She started her 40-year 
reign when her father, Emperor Charles VI, 
died in October 1740 until 1780.
.
Maria Theresa and her husband, Francis I, had
eleven daughters and five sons. Of the sixteen 
children, ten survived to the adulthood.

Henry VIII
(1491 - 1547)

Henry VIII was King of England from 1509 until his
 death in 1547.  Henry is best known for his six 
marriages, and in particular, his efforts to have his
 first marriage to Catherine of Aragon annulled.
.
Henry was the first English monarch to rule as 
King of Ireland. He is traditionally cited as one of 
the founders of the Royal Navy.





Taiwan


Ma Ying-jeou
馬英九
(1950 - )

Ma Ying-jeou is a Taiwanese politician 
who served as the 6th president of the 
Republic of China (Taiwan) from 2008 
to 2018. He was re-elected in 2012.
.
Ma's term as president saw warmer 
relations with Mainland China.  He became the 
first ROC Head of State to meet with a 
Communist Party General Secretary when 
he met Xi Jinping in Singapore 
in November 2015.



France



Anne of France
Anne de Beaujeu
(1461 - 1522)

Anne of France or Anne de Beaujeu 
was a French princess and regent,
 the eldest daughter of Louis XI by 
Charlotte of Savoy.  Anne was the sister 
of Charles VIII, for whom she acted as 
regent during his minority from 
1483 until 1491.  
.
As regent of France, Anne was one
 of the most powerful women in the late
 fifteenth century Europe, and she was 
referred to as "Madame la Grande".

South Korea

Park Geun-hye
박근혜
(1952 -  )

Park is a politician who served as the 
18th president of South Korea from 2013 
to 2017.  She is the daughter of the 
South Korea's former dictator, the late 
president Park-Chung hee. Park was the 
first woman to be President of South Korea.
.
 On 9 December 2016, The National
Assembly impeached Park on 
charger 
related to abuse of power and corruption.
.
South Korean courts sentenced Park to
 25 years, and she is currently imprisoned
 at Seoul Detention Centre.
