(356 BC - 323 BC)

Alexander the Great served as king of Macedonia from
336 BC to 323 BC.  During his time of leadership, he
 united Greece and conquered the Persian Empire.
By the age of thirty, he had created one of the largest
 empires of the ancient world, stretching from Greece
 to northwestern India.

Alexander was undefeated in battle and is widely 
considered one of history's most successful
military commanders.

Alexander died of high fever in Babylon, on 
June 13, 323 BC at the aged of 32.
