Queen Elizabeth II
(1926 - 2022)

Elizabeth was Queen of the United Kingdom and head 
of the British Commonwealth countries. She became 
queen on February 6, 1952.

Throughout her reign, the Queen has made hundreds 
of state visits to other countries and tours of the  
Commonwealth; she is the most widely travelled 
head of states.
.
Her reign of 70 years and 214 days is the 
longest-
reigning monarch in British history as well as the 
world's longest-serving female head of state. 

She died at aged 96 at Balmoral Castle, and was 
succeeded by her eldest son, Charles III.
