Kublai Khan
ᠬᠤᠪᠢᠯᠠᠢ ᠬᠠᠭᠠᠨ - Хубилай - 忽必烈
(1215 - 1294)

Kublai Khan was the fifth emperor of the Mongol 
Empire, reigning from 1260 to 1294.  He was a 
grandson of Genghis Khan.  He also founded 
the Yuan dynasty in China in 1271, and ruled as 
the first Yuan emperor until his death in 1294.

Kublai the last of the great Mongol rulers, died of 
illness caused by his repeated over indulgence 
in food and alcohol, in 1294 at the age of 79.
