HEAD OF STATES STAMPS

A collection of postal covers on "Head of States" by Johnny Lowis, a Singaporean philatelist. I try my best to include all the worldwide countries. As I started this collection quite late, somewhere in 2000, so some of the earlier leader were missed out such as Saddam Hussein, Muamar Gadaffi, Shah Pahlevi, etc..... (1927 - 2015)

Kim Young-sam was a South Korean politician, who

served as 14th President of South Korea from

1993 to 1998.

Under Chun Doo-hwan government, Kim Young-sam

was expelled from the National Assembly for his

democratic activities and banned from politics from

1980 to 1985. In 1983, he undertook a 21-day hunger

strike protesting the dictatorship of Chun Doo-hwan.

He died on 22 November 2015, from heart failure,
at the age of 87.
