Suhaldev is an Indian king from Shravasti , who
is said to have defeated and killed the general Ghazi
Maud at Bahraich, in the early 11th century.
According to the legend, Suheldev was the elder
son of King Mordhwaj of Shravasti. Suheldev is
charaterised as a cow protector, patron of saints
and benefactor of Hindus.
Maharaja Suhaldev Sewa Samiti, an organisation
is said to have defeated and killed the general Ghazi

Maharaja Suhaldev Sewa Samiti, an organisation
formed by Hindu nationalist activists in Bahraich in 2001,
has been organising various programmes to
commemorate Suhaldev as the king and the
defender of the Hindu faith.
