Mongolia/Xiongnu

Huhanye Chanyu
呼韓邪單于
(     - 31BC)

Huhanye ChanYu, was a supreme leader of the
Xiongnu (a nomadic tribe living in Inner Mongolia),
who ruled from 58 to 31 BC.
.
In 33 BC, Huhanye came to the Han imperial court
and asked for peace making marriage to maintain the
friendly relationship between Han and Xiongnu.
For the peace between the two, Wang Zhaojun
(王昭君 ) volunteered to marry Huhanye, which
strengthened the peace between the Han Dynasty
and the Xiongnu for over 60 years.
